The Conway Expo Center has over 40,000 square feet of space – all without the columns and walls we’ve had to plan around in the past. It’s over two-and-a-half times the space that we have had at the Jacksonville Community Center, and 4.71 times the space of the Community Center’s gymnasium by itself! There’s plenty of parking – including 45 RV spots with hookups – plus more restrooms, a PA system, air conditioning, polished concrete floor, good lighting, rollup doors for bringing vendors in and out, and close proximity to hotels, dining, shopping, etc.
The dates for the show will stay in August and we have reserved the weekend of August 27-28, 2022 for our first Central Arkansas Train and Hobby Show. We will have room for vendors for trains, models, diecast, crafts, woodworkers, needlepoint and more! We are planning for more railroad layouts; model car, Gundam, and train contests; new displays; micro layouts; food vendors setup outside; places to sit down and relax – basically room for just about everyone!
Again, the Jacksonville Hobby & Craft Expo and the Jacksonville Train Show are becoming one show, with one set of dates. More information will follow in the next few weeks as we get our vendor and display packets built for the “Central Arkansas Train & Hobby Show,” our flyers made and printed, and our advertising campaign underway. The current Facebook page will be changed to reflect our new event and will still be the place to find out all of the news about the show as we move forward. So keep it tuned here for all the latest news about the new Central Arkansas Train and Hobby Show!
